I figured out a solid way to get tires. So, got quoted $2400 from some new AT truck tires at my local Les Schwab. Started shopping around and figured out Discount Tire will price-match anything online. Went to Walmart.com where there is lots of 3rd party random online tire dealers that you’ve never heard of. Found the same tires for $1100. There’s a spot in Discounts website to upload your price-match deal link. The emailed me back right away with approval and even emailed my closest store and told them I was coming. Was out the door at Discount for $1200 same day. 50% off!

Cooper AT3 Stronghold 275/65/20. Got 10k on them in snow, mud, pavement, and they’ve been fantastic

Walmart online has been marking down Mickey Thompson brand tires lately. I just pulled the trigger on some legend exp tires for $233/tire. About $100 off a tire compared to everyone else.

I was able to get belle tire to price match sams club pricing. Still had to pay the extra $150 or so to get their lifetime warranty (which is surprising, because sams gives you the same warranty free..)

discount wanted to play games with me and say "with the manf rebate youll get that price". Well yeah, I want sams price plus the rebate, asshole. I suspect its just the manager of my local shop..

All of that to avoid the install experience at sams. I bought a set there before, and they couldn't balance them after 3 tries.

I did the same thing got a hell of a deal from Americas Tire, a subsidiary of Discount Tire

Prices must change regionally. Here in wyoming I called discount tire and they qouted me $1,150 installed for a set of 4 BF Goodrich K03 load range E on my f250. The way i see it, i dont price match because thats a business trying to get both ends at the same time. Keep prices high and not lose customers to reasonably priced places.

Sometime you should read the fine print on tire warranty. I once worked at a place that would charge 75 per tire. When an awd vehicle got a nail in a tire, the warranty only replaced one of the 4 tires, the buyer had to buy 3 tires plus they were out 300 on the tire warranty that only covered one $180 tire. Its a scam for suckers.

Idk about that.. If I needed a tire replaced due to irreparable damage, I would not expect them to replace all 4, AWD or not. Thats just silly.

Good price.

If you have a Fleet Farm near you, their BF deals can be pretty tough to beat. Last 3 sets I purchased were through that arrangement. Sometimes you can line their BF sale up with a rebate and its an even better deal.

The problem is.......if there's enough wear on the original tires, they won't put on just one new tire on an AWD vehicle, because of the difference in diameter between new and worn.

But with 30k on a set of tires on an awd it will damage the drivetrain to replace only one. Despite the tire warranty costing more than 1 tire. So they will tell you to pay for 3 after paying more than one for a tite warranty, or go somewhere else.
