Tips for lengthy trips with kids

Built little people houses. My daughter came on a few sheep hunts as a kid, with twigs and plants she’d build “little people homes”, made for a good boredom killer.

Another is a dog, the family dog (pack dogs) was a great addition with the kiddo.

Good luck and have a blast!
I love it. I always built corrals when I was young and went hunting with my dad. I am taking about 6-10yrs old just following along bowhunting from the ground. I would gather my supplies along the way on our walk in.

We would get to where dad picked out a spot and clear all the leaves off down to dirt. I would have a bunch of little twigs with a "Y". I would break them off at different lengths and push them in the ground so that there was 3 different hieghts of the "V". Then get nice straight pieces and go from "Y" to "Y". I got pretty good at it. Build pens, alleys, etc. My whole corral might be in a 2sq ft area.

For long drives when my kids were little I would print them a map and mark home, destination, motels, etc so they could keep track of how far we had come.

On some trips had them research and pick something to see along the way.
