So I have been a budget spotter kinda guy for a while now. I just never needed to use one enough to justify the cost of alpha glass. If a Henry Mountains deer tag isnt reason enough to step up then nothing is. I am still really weight sensitive though and maybe thats just me being silly. So, looking at 65mm scopes, run me down the list of say the top 5 I should be looking at. I would like to stay around $2000 if I can but I am more of a get what I need over penny pinch type. I dont want to go too crazy though.

It gives nothing up to the Swarovski 65 and can be had a bit cheaper. Also the few extra oz are worth the extra objective size and another 10x.

I ordered a 774 for my "once in a lifetime" hunt for LE elk too. I used it yesterday as I looked over a BUNCH of elk. It is pretty dang nice.
