Tikka UPR / CTR 308

Considering for a buddy. After a LOT of research & consideration - rifle choice has been narrowed down to these 2 - others no longer being considered. Same for cartridge choice - personal preference over the 6.5.

Asking for your first hand experience & preference between these 2 rifles.

I know this is a really old thread, but I have both the tikka 308 ctr & upr rifles, they are equally as accurate and shoot the same. My preference is the fit and feel of the UPR stock, however I mounted a SRS arca rail on the CTR stock so that is my dedicated hunting rifle and the UPR is mostly for range and doing load development testing.
