Tikka T3X trigger spring upgrade worth it?

Wondering about this myself. I’m only able to adjust factory down to around 3lbs.

I've run yodave springs on 4 tikkas now with zero issues. I think they are worth it over the stock spring. He's an island local and everyone I know that shoots tikka run his springs as well as three shops that build tikka "customs". Never heard of an issue but I know form has referenced in the past something about only running the factory spring. I'll keep using my yodaves happily until more evidence of failures are shown

Posting this so more people might see it and consider leaving the factory spring alone.

I just got back from the S2H Winter course where I shot a Tikka RSS 223. I like a light trigger so I chose to try replacing the factory trigger spring with a lighter trigger spring.

On day 6 I had a accidental discharge when I closed the bolt. Fortunately it was rnd 3 on target during an exercise. Running the bolt hard and fast I believe exaggerates the failure earlier than if it is run less aggressively.

Form confirmed failure by running the bolt 15-20 times and had another failure, rifle unloaded...

More likely of failure. See the post above yours with the link.

I think the factory springs are great. So increasing likelihood of problems for a minimal improvement isn’t appealing.
