Hey everyone, Looking to purchase my first rifle for Bear/Deer mostly and possibly Elk. Thinking 6.5 PRC caliber..

I know the reliability of Tikka so thinking of going that route.. Question is whats the real difference in the superlite/lite or roughtek lite? I love the look of the Ace Game too and how it can fold down small if put on my backpack is there any downside of going that route instead of the lite/superlite?

thanks!

I prefer the lite barrel profile to the super lite profile.

If I were you, I would look at what EuroOptic has to offer. They have some great prices at the low end.

I prefer the Lite over Superlite personally. The difference is pretty much just the fluted barrel.

The Roughtech is pretty much cosmetic differences as well, though I would consider the fluted bolt an actual negative and Cerakote a positive. But, a stainless steel Lite would still be my preference.

If you want a chassis, get a Lite and acquire a HNT26 at some point. I would not pay for the one from Tikka due to weight.

Standard roughtech/veil barrel contours are a fair bit heavier than the standard lite contour. Basic standard tradeoffs apply - they'll be heavier to carry and easier to shoot well. The ACE contours will be heavier yet compared to the roughtech and the ACE chassis is going to be heavier than the plastic Lite stock as well.

I dont see value in a superlite vs a lite version and would actually prefer the standard lite.
