Me: "I'm just looking."
Them: "OK, let me know if you need any help."

Me: "How much for the Tikka ... sell it to me without the taxes?"
Them: "Let me see.... OK."

Me: "Sh!t.... box it up for me!"
(Dammit, I did it again!)

Either 6.5 isn't as popular as I've been told or Tikka made about ten times as many of them as everything else. I see the 6.5 everywhere, but not much else.

Nice. I have the same rifle in 270wsm and it now sits in a xlr chassis. Shoots lights out.

I also have the same model in the 6.5 manbun. The furthest I have taken it so far is 400 yards but it will hold a tad over 1/2 moa at that range. I am pushing 135 grn Bergers handloads at just under 3k fps which isnt too shabby either.

just bought a 6.5 creed (ok, manbun) tikka superlite at sportsmans whse for $828 and a lefty at that. but i'm putting on a proof carbon prefit (same caliber) and dropping it in a mesa altitude stock. i have a can for it (and my 6.5 prc {i guess 'super' manbun}). the creed will be just for local whitetails.

Congratulations! I just ordered the same rifle and caliber.

Now if I could just decide on a scope!

FYI if you handload the tikka 6.5C gets some good extra oomph due to the throat being a tad long. Can load long with some extra powder and nearly bridge the performance of PRC. A few threads on here about it.

Great gun and fun round for it.

Range Report:

Whew.... it was hot. The barrel did not want to cool down. I think the only cold bore shot was the first one.

Two loads, both with promising results.
Shot off Harris bipod and Rugged Ridge rear support (good support, not great).

Norma American Whitetail 150gr
(6-shot group = 2x3-shot)

Black Hills 190gr BTHP
(2x 3-shot groups)

The APA brake is unbelievably effective,
but it's super loud(no kidding, right?) and will blow stuff off the bench.

I'll try it suppressed this weekend.
