Tikka T3/T3x Aftermarket Stock Pics

I will have a Manners with the factory mag/bottom metal mini chassis tomorrow. It's inlet for a sendero light but will just be holding the factory sporter barrel until it's done.
I just paid for mine so it should be on the way soon as well. Excited to see what it weighs with the ultra lite cheek piece.

I have not. The bravo is a great budget chassis, I’m sure the X-ray is very similar. Only thing I didn’t care for in a krg chassis for a hunting rifle is aics mags.

I’m thinking about setting up a T3x .223 in an X-Ray as a trainer. I might bug you sometime about your 75gr ELDM recipe.

You ever messed around with an X-Ray? I’m curious about trying one.

Have used Bravos and X-rays on 223’s, 6.5’s, and 308’s quite a bit. Same rifles back to back for each. Unless it’s a dedicated LR rifle, the Bravo is a better field stock due the grip.

Killed a few with it. Then switched them-

In total I think I killed 6-8 animals with that X-ray/6.5 combo. More with the 223 and 308 in X-ray. Most I hunt and shoot with did as well, and we all switched them out for Bravo rear ends after using them a bunch back to back.

A suppressed T3 in a KRG Bravo makes a very good all around field rifle

Magazine suggestions for a Tikka 223 in a KRG Bravo? The magazine I have was made by Brownells and is sloppy, it has a hard time chambering the first couple rounds out of a full magazine (10 round). I might put my 300wsm in the Bravo, are there any good wsm mags?

The KRG magazine fits perfectly, that's what I have in mine.

Thanks for all that Form. Can you help me understand the grip a little more? I've never handled either. Looks like the Bravo is a little fuller, more of a palm swell? Does the larger grip option for the X-Ray make any difference? Also, noticed you're not using a bipod spigot. Do you feel like the bipod mounts far enough forward with out it?

With the X-ray you either use the pistol grip like a thumbhole, which makes manipulating the safety annoying and bringing your hand in and out each time you rack, or you place thumb on strong side not gripping the back of the grip at all (PRS grip).

The base of the thumb provides noticeable manipulation and recoil control, which does not show itself in PRS when you are shooting small 6mm’s in 28lb rifles, nor does it do so with 18lb sniper rifles from the prone and bipod.
The Bravo aloes a neutral thumb inline with the tang, easy access to the safety without breaking the firing grip, and easy bolt manipulation, while still giving good recoil control with the base of the thumb.

No, for a dedicated LR rifle the spigot is a good thing, but those rifles don’t do a lot of shooting from a bipod.

What stock is that on their website? Didn’t find a specific “Tikka” stock.
Here is one just listed

How did you like that Witt Machine brake on the factory barrel?
I've run them on three different rifles. I know clamp-ons aren't sexy, but mine were super easy to install and very effective. After some test firing this last summer, my wife chose my Tikka in 300WM for her elk hunt. That thing is a punisher without the brake.20210702_181956.jpg

I have a 6.5 PRC veil. Bought a eht manners off here used and it doesn’t even come close to fitting. Did you have to do much modifications? My barrel contour is way to heavy

Mine was a direct drop in. Channel on mine was for a proof sendero. Maybe the one you got was custom made for a smaller barrel profile. You can contact manners and they should be able to open up the barrel channel for you.
