Yep. Only place you can get a superlite is sportsmans warehouse or cabelas. They are exclusive. Cabelas camo stock and SW is black stock. $650 is good price. Wish there was a SW close to me.

good price IMO. my SW has the regular stainless on sale for that much right now. i'm still waiting to see if the new tikkas will drive the cost of the old down but they haven't hit the stores here yet. i asked the guys at SW if they'll get the new models in the superlite option and they weren't sure.

They have them all at this sportsmans (t3 and the t3x). They even have a tikka t3x tactical rifle that looks like it's in an mdt chassis. It's pretty slick looking.

I paid $799 for a T3 Super Lite (7mm Rem Mag) with the Camo stock and fluted (stainless) barrel at a local hunting store. They said it was a "Shot Show Special". I immediately fell in love with it. So far I am happy with it. $650 is a heck of a price!

I was down in Phoenix for work and it was at the local sportsmans warehouse down there.. I almost pulled the trigger and was going to check it for the flight home. Decided to check here in Denver this week first. I'll be back down in Phoenix in about a month if I can't find one up here.

Sportsman's warehouse. FYI though guys I'm pretty sure you can't buy a firearm at an out of state (for you) store and drive it home or fly it home. The firearm needs to be transferred to you within your home state by a licensed FFL. You'd need to inquire if the stores will ship it to a dealer for you, but at that point there might not be much savings involved.

What would be the difference of owning a firearm and driving it across state borders to hunt?

I know this rule applies to handgun purchases but didn't think it mattered for shotguns/rifles?

Ok maybe a stupid question. But here it goes.
The Tikka t3 super lite that is available from sport mans warehouse . Is it different the the tikka t3 lite ( or the new t3x)
And if so I take the t3 super lite is exclusive to the sport mans warehouses?

I was told I could buy a rifle down there with no issues. Here in Colorado it's the same. You can buy a rifle as a non resident, just not a pistol.

The T3 superlite is the same as the T3 Lite, except the superlite has a fluted barrel. The same with the new T3x. The superlite is only available at Sportsman's Warehouse with a black stock, and Cabelas with a camo stock. The Weight difference is only 3 ounces, so I just bought a T3x lite in 7mag. for $600.

I could have bought the superlite for $750, but $150 more for 3 ounces, isn't worth it to me.

Got you. Thanks for the clarification.
600 is an excellent price. I just paid closer to 800 here in NY for the T3x.

Huh, I thought the FFL transfer always had to be done in your own state (from there you can drive a gun around wherever obviously), I didn't know long guns didn't fall under that.
