Limb Saver (30 bucks), spray paint the stock (10 bucks), or drop it in a new stock (200-600) add a brake (200 bucks), swap the bolt handle for a carbon one (70 bucks), add a bipod (50-300 bucks)

The list goes on...

Limbsaver on the way, stock I got is the green one so I think I’ll keep it that way. Bolt handle could be an option. Dunno if I want bipod or not just to kee weight down

Bell and Carlson stock was my favorite upgrade. Fluted bolt is relatively cheap and looks good...Agree with the limbsaver recoil pad upgrade. I upgraded the bolt shroud to a metal one. (not sure if the T3x has a metal bolt shroud or not, my T3s didn't). Bottom metal and mag upgrade is a good one.

Limb Saver recoil pad.

If you’re buying factory ammo, the plastic bottom metal and Tikka magazines work just fine and save weight. If you reload, the short magazine will be a limitation and you might want to look into the detachable bottom metal options that use longer AICS magazines.

My 7mm Rem Mag T3x lite with 27 ounces of scope and mounting hardware doesn’t need a brake. I could see a superlite with a lighter scope package benefiting from one, but I’d shoot it before making that decision.

The t3x bolt shroud is already metal, nothing to upgrade there. About everything else is cosmetic or throwing lots of money at chasing grams.

I like adding the vertical grip on mine. Where’d you get a green stock version?

On second thought, a little stippling on the grip panels with a souldering iron is pretty nice to have.

A quality optic, lower the trigger pull, some ammo and time at the range.

No need for fancy bolt handles, etc. and the superlite barrel is so thin I doubt a brake is very feasible.

Never heard that about the barrel, thanks for the tip

Shove a couple grocery bags in the stock to keep it from sounding hollow.

I was looking at that model. Description says "matte black reciever" but it looks stainless? I am only interested in stainless...

I would put a muzzle brake on it. You will be a much better shooter with it because you won't have any recoil to deal with and you'll shoot it way more. You'll also be able to see your hits and misses. And, there isn't any problem putting brakes on superlites. I've had multiple done and they work great.

The lighter trigger springs are nice and only cost about $10.

An AGC stock is a really nice upgrade if you decide you don't like the factory one.

I would get it in hand first. Mount scope, try it out. THEN decide if you want to do anything.

Give it a chance in stock form....

Tikka Performance has some nice bottom metal/magazine options, and some nice bolt shrouds as well. They offer bolt handles too, but do not offer a swept (angled) version, which I prefer; I go to Glades Armory for those (be aware that some folks have had some bad experiences with Glades customer service, but I have never had any problems). Other than that, a YoDave or Tikka Performance trigger spring, and you should be good to go!

When you wear out that 300 WM barrel, you might think about going 300 PRC, as it's a shorter/fatter case which will let you run the heavier 30-caliber projectiles without intruding (as much) on powder capacity. There are a couple of barrel nut systems available for Tikkas now (Patriot Valley Arms, Southern Precision Rifles/Bugholes), so you can get a barrel, get a headspace gauge, and install your own barrel (saving you time and a few dollars).

I have two Tikkas with a third in the works. Love 'em.

I thought the same exact thing! Upon arrival I can confirm it is black

Bought the T3X Superlite in stainless and camouflage stock. Changed the pad to a Limbsaver pad, bolt handle and bolt shroud. Has fluted barrel so i will probably get the bolt fluted after the season. I've been wanting one custom rifle but not wanting to pay in the thousands. So this will be as close as I will get to a "custom".
