Tikka-Stockys fit question

My Tikka Stocky’s stock has the factory tikka bottom metal (plastic) stick out from the stock a little in the rear versus sitting flush. It is flush from about the half way point forward, then sticks out towards the back (see pics). I emailed Stockys about it and Kim said that’s how they are cut… I’m not buying that.

For those of you with Tikka Stockys, does this bottom metal protrusion look normal?

I think if it was flush, the rear action screw would sit deeper than it does now.

If so, that’s really half assed in my opinion.

Well, I guess it is what it is. I don’t like that, feels/looks cheap like that.
