Tikka "Rokslide Special", let's see 'em

Generally, an AR isn’t an awesome replacement trainer for a bolt gun. You generally lose some precision. But also, positional shooting typically changes with an AR vs Sporter hunting stock. Recoil reduction is typically different as well. And you lose the bolt manipulation practice.
All good points. However I need to upgrade a lot of stuff this year, pack, rifle, binoculars, rangefinder, ect. ect. ect. So I need to prioritize where I can and shoot the balls off my AR.

Below is a 10 shot group of factory loaded VMax. In terms of precision I can live with that.

Well 2 months of reading on here was all it took. I've got a fluted SS T3X 6.5cm on its way. It's the hunter wood stock model (which I don't hate) but I could have it in a stockys carbon for about the price of an Ember so I think it's a win. Will most likely end up wearing a Trijicon.

If i could absolutely only have 1 rifle for 50 states, all game & it had to be a Tikka, I'd be reeeeally hard pressed not to go with a 1:8 .243
And I love my 6.5 & .223!
Have all 3 and the 243 with 108s at 2916 (best load by far) seems to be the Goldilocks. 1800 fps out to 850 yards at my typical hunting elevation is no slouch. 223 sure is fun to shoot though.

Been here for a little over 2 months and just got my first Tikka I know it's not an swfa but I had a vortex laying around so that's what it's got till it dies now I just need to get a vertical grip to hold me over until I buy a rokstok

Thinking about getting mine cut and threaded for a suppressor when I get it Cerakoted.

I've never owned a suppressor, but am curious to try one. Any recommendations for best choices on a RSS? Have barrel cut to 16"?
