Using the mountain tactical billet mag and loading to 3.47 but to accommodate longer using a modified MDT Mag in factory bottom metal. i cut at slit in metal mag and bent it so tikka mag button works haven't had problems yet. thinking about getting different bottom metal to use larger mdt mag without mod.

Mountain tactical mags are like 3.38" coal are you sure you're getting 3.47? You need to be using aics to get that. MDT mags will not function in factory Tikka bottom metal.

They will if you modify by cutting and grinding a slit in the front of mag to clip into factory button. Not recommending it. Also just loading one in mag one in chamber and it will function so you have a two shot with tikka mag. MDT fully modified works well and holds 5 and functions well.

Sorry if I was unclear. I guess I'm too much of a Tinkerer. And did not explain very well. Once everything is sorted out I'm even thinking about trying cutting a channel in the front of the mountain tactical mag. I guess I'm one of those guys that doesn't know how to leave something alone. You are correct in saying that 3.38 measurement on putting more than just one on the top of the mag and one in the barrel.
