Would a 6.5 creedmore and a lower weight bullet do the same thing as a 243 fast twist or 6 creedmore? (Lower recoil and raise velocity etc). 6.5 creedmore barrel last longer and ammo readily available
The adults are talking. You an your flat bill with the sticker still on it need to go elsewhere

WIthin reason, yeah, but at the end of the day, if you want to push both the 6cm and 6.5cm to their absolute max range, the 6 will do it with less recoil-per-yard if you want to look at it that way.Would a 6.5 creedmore and a lower weight bullet do the same thing as a 243 fast twist or 6 creedmore? Same.It would still work, but it might not do the same thing. The light, larger diameter bullet might not have as good a BC as some of the heavy for caliber .243 options. But I would be very comfortable using a 130-grain TMK, 140-grain ELDM, etc. on an elk.
For a 400yrd rifle yall are really picking at hairs here. I can see some preference towards the Bro calibers if one didnt reload, more so if a guy was wanting to really reach out there.
Factory takeoff's can be had easy enough for $100-$150. So who cares about barrel life? Though a 243 tube still lasts a good while...
