Taking my 12 year old to Colorado deer hunting with me this year. He's 5'1" and 85# I have been having him shoot our Tikka compact 308 (doesn't complain about recoil), was thinking about swapping barreled action from Tikka forest 25-06. Should drop right in, more curious if the extra 2" of barrel length throws of the balance off. I'm also going to add a limbsaver. Thought was 25-06 is lighter recoil, and flatter and faster.
