Tikka ARC conversion

If anyone has opened up a Tikka 223 to an ARC, would be possible for you to try and see if it will still extract a 223.
I would expect it to still work as a switch barrel, but you never know until you try it.
TIA

As much as I don’t love it I think I’m going to convert a savage I own to an arc vs a tikka, the bolt at JA is wildly expensive…

Nice deflection, the question I asked has never been discussed there.
Why would you expect an arc bolt face to extract on a 223 case rim? 0.378 VS 0.441? Damn near like asking if a magnum bolt at 0.532 will extract a 308 at 0.473, how well does that work out?

Get snarky with your responses, and this is how people respond. No deflection, but asking you to think for yourself.

You're asking for trouble there man. If you're dead set on having one gun to run both, the logical option isn't a tikka unless you want to spend the money on a new bolt. Getting an action with a swappable bolt face is the ticket. I know the zermatts can do this.

I had a similar question: I've heard a standard bolt face will work (extract/eject) with an arc/grendel case.

It would be neat if someone could try that and let me know.

Agreed - Tikka isn’t the platform for this. Zermatt is great, I swapped my 22-250 AI out to a 300 BLK in 15 min.

It also seems like you could do a standard to arc boltface with a removable bushing, like a snap ring.

Or I guess open a 223 bolt face but cut a groove into it where you could have a removable bushing/snap ring down to 223 from ARC.
