Soaked it with some penetrating oil and make sure the clamp is super tight. I’ve learned & improved my process from taking a few off now. It’s not necessarily easy but not as hard as the last. Ha!

Appreciate the info. I’ve been wanting to try some prefit tikka barrels but getting the factory barrel off has always concerned me from what I’ve read. What vise do you recommend?

If its in your budget a SAC vice (bravo is cheaper) with the tikka bushing fits the factory contour barrels really well for removal.
