Interesting. I've had no issue with the bonefrog on my stainless purchased last year. Are yours blued or stainless?

Blued 20" muzzle threadedInteresting. I've had no issue with the bonefrog on my stainless purchased last year. Are yours blued or stainless?
1500 used since August, without any pierced primers. The oversized packaging is stupid, but the primers aren’t.What are ppls thoughts on the fed205m, equal or better to cci 450? In respect to cup thickness.

So if they're not for .223, where are they used?Mystery solved, those (CCI 400s) are inappropriate primers for 223, even moreso for 5.56, and cause problems all over the place.
Mine is 20" stainless, factory muzzle threaded as well. Has always been shot with a suppressor (early nomad 30).Blued 20" muzzle threaded
Lower pressure rounds of the past. Lots use them and are fine, the are just a thinner cup. REM 6 1/2 is the same thin cup small rifle primer. Honestly I don’t know why they even make them anymore with the current trends. So if they're not for .223, where are they used?
Does this also apply to the BR-4?
Let’s be careful not to immediately assume that Beretta/Sako/Tikka have spec’d a new firing pin diameter for the 223.Mine is 20" stainless, factory muzzle threaded as well. Has always been shot with a suppressor (early nomad 30).
I wonder if the parts change was rolled out to the blued models first.
Will try to look at mine this weekend and see what it has.
There definitely appears been a change in the last year or two. Notice the different firing pin bodies and hole sizes.

You're right that we shouldn't be quick to assume that they've changed sizes, but it does seem likely.Let’s be careful not to immediately assume that Beretta/Sako/Tikka have spec’d a new firing pin diameter for the 223.
I don’t know enough about their manufacture process to explain what appears to be a smaller hole on the bolt.
But so far what we do know is that when OP called, the cs reps had no idea if there had been a change or not.
Very possible they could have sent an undersized pin out from the factory. Tikka QC is good, but stuff can sneak by once in a while. Or maybe that much variance is within their “spec” of acceptable.
All I’m saying is there are a lot of possibilities to consider in addition to a “new” firing pin diameter.
