Tight lower back after a day hike

It’s not sore or out of place just tight making descents slower and me less agile. Doesn’t matter if it’s a ten or thirty pound pack. I’m thinking about stretching but maybe it’s weak muscles?
 
Let me guess you're in your 50s or approaching 50. I had the same issue. Daily stretching definitely helped me out. Especially doing relaxed deep squats and holding them for at least a minute. Give it a try helped this 50 something year old guy out. Good luck.

Guess I wouldn't do it everyday, but 2 Aleve to start the day sure helps me when I'm packing weight. I'd definitely go the route of stretches first to see if that solves your problem first.

Ya I carry some stuff if it’s going to get bad I’ll take it.
