Threading a 16” Tikka Barrel

Can a smith thread a 16” factory unthreaded Tikka barrel and remain non-SBR? Don’t want to pin and weld a muzzle device.

yes no reason adding threads would change the length or classification.

Just make sure he doesn't get it less than 16" by recrowning it when he does muzzle threads and you're good.
