I think it’ll be fine.. they will keep it open. I’ve seen so many out of state vehicles in so many of the remotish areas around here over the last few months. More so than normal. And they just recently lifted the restrictions. I think lots of city folks are escape vacationing.

Anybody want to think about changing their vote? Everyone likes to copy cat. Hawaii was first, will others follow?

Yep.....Hawaii is the same as Colorado, HUGE difference. If they allow truckers and people going thru I think we will be ok.

No, state would lose to much money. And now would have to refund every body their lic. fees. Or pay lawyers for all the law suites that would follow.

They cancelled skiing last year which is far more revenue. I do believe they will make changes if they feel it could negatively impact ski season.

While skiing does represent a slightly higher total economic impact to Colorado than hunting, the state government receives far more revenue from hunting due to license sales. It is much easier to ask private business to take a loss than it is for the government to take the loss themselves.

Can you post these numbers? The economic impact of both on the state?

Night and day difference. Have you hunted Hawaii? We’re talking about a small remote island with little to no hospital services. It’s up there with remote villages in Alaska but in the end, liberal agendas taking over here.

I was incorrect. The economic impact of skiing is quadruple that of hunting in CO. $1.2 vs. $4.8 billion.

That being said I still think it is unlikely that non resident hunting is closed due to the budget issues it would cause the state.

Have you been to small mountain towns? Remote, little hospital services.

Not too many skiers buy in advance. I did buy my season pass in advance and my elk and deer tags too.

I think it comes as no surprise to us that that amount of money will override health concerns. Land of the free managed by the rich.

Ski Season was called off late in the season after most of the big holidays. Money makers were done, a lot of resorts start shutting down beginning of April anyways not because of lack of snow, but lack of people to make it profitable staying open.

They would declare a public emergency and your $600 goes out the window.

The state already has the license money.

No, it was closed just as Spring break was starting to peak: mid March is peak season and the resorts were ordered closed on March 14th. Mid March is the money maker in the CO ski industry.
