Thin but higher R value sleeping pad?

Yes, actual r value is below 2

So...thickness is how manufacturers are getting higher R values. If you want more R you need more thickness. You could double up with another pad, maybe put a foam pad (Thermarest Z Sol for example) under the one you like. Or mess with the firmness of a thicker inflatable pad. Or try another all together, like an Exped for example (known for having high R values and very comfy).
 
I also found I started sleeping better on pads when I really started fixing my hips and hamstrings. Tight hip flexors put pressure on the lower back for me.
