Hello I wonder if anybody have been using Thermacell products at high altitudes between 9000-10000 ft,
all info is appreciated as this looks to be a bad year for mosquitoes and no see ums.

Ive had mine work at 8k, but never had it stay lit above 10k. Not sure where the cut off is in there. There are some DIY modification threads out there to get them working at higher altitude, but I didn’t care enough to bother.

I used mine around 10,000 last year scouting and it was a pain to get it lit. It worked once it was lit though. I have the one that costs and extra $10 or so.

Couldn't get the larger version started so just stuck with permethrin on the clothes.

Interested in the same. I know mine works at sea level on the brackish flats. Must have there...mosquitos so big that they can carry you off.

Thanks for the info I used it this weekend at 9000 ft and it worked great I bought the handheld model.

The fuel can version is not supposed to work above 7000 ft. I don't know about the other versions. I was going to buy for my scouting trip but talked myself out of it after I read the altitude limitation. I plan on being above 10,000 ft most of the time.
