Muzzleloaders have worked just fine for several hundred years now (~400 years). Brass cased breach loader stuffs been around what, maybe 175 years.

I have a bit of a pile of round balls, conicals, sabots, caps, and powder myself.
I shoot the 420's. Good stuff.
