The Teratorn: A Shoot2Hunt X EXO Bag Collab

- Sleeping bag compartment - typical to compress your bag in a compression style stuff sack - is the thought to forgoe those and build it into the bag, or?

Just going off the pictures and description it looks like a sleeping bag pocket that I had on a couple Lowe Alpine backpacks.
There was an internal zipper that would close off the bottom section of the bag and I would stuff the sleeping bag into the compartment and not use a stuff sack. I can’t really tell you what the advantages were over using a stuff sack outside of it helped keep things organized in my pack.

I got the impression the bag is designed by the shoot2hunt guys, their design approach, marketing approach, etc. Hence those questions / comments should be addressed to them.

IE, EXO is just building the bag to the spec shoot2hunt designed.

We have had zero to do with design, other than taking their ideas and making them a reality. When it comes to answering "why is the bag ____?", we cannot always provide an answer.

@Mark at EXO @Shoot2Hunt I would really like to see a dedicated pouch for a tripod as well. Similar to what is on the stone glacier guide 7900. Having that small pouch to hook tripod legs into and a dedicated compression strap makes it so nice. Nothing worse than have a full pack of camp and meat and trying to attach you rifle and tripod to the sides. Make it tough. Way easier to attach it to the back. Also way faster to get your tripod out to glass.

I was a huge kifaru fulcrum fan. Just not the weight, or the price of a new frame considering the relatively poor customer service from the last one.

What’s the weight? Looks like it’s going to end up heavy. Would be cool to see in a lighter weight fabric; atleast the main bag

They don’t have anything to do with design of the pack.


This pack is meant to be able to store and access tripod, spotter/binos very easily, and very quickly without unclipping a single buckle.

Similar in what way? I've had every iteration of the EXO series, as well as having this bag in my possession. There's nothing really similar to the K2 except the color. It'll be a few days before I get good pics of it in use, doing night time thermal predator control work for ranchers right now.

For those who are curious, the bat wings can be tucked out of the way on the pack if you don't want to use them. Between the bag and frame.

This is a late season bag. Let me say that again. This is a late season use case type of bag. Or if you're one of those types who likes to pack your fears, then you can pack all of those along with a spotter.... so you can find more fears.

Sheep hunters are going to really like this bag. There's room for 10+ days of food and gear in this bag. The stretch bungee is great for having wet gear on the outside to get air to to dry out. The stretch pocket holds moisture. I like the stretch pockets on my other EXO bags, but they aren't conducive to helping dry gear or quick access.

The k2 has the “wings”, but in a non stretch open top form, which I like. I store my tripod and spotter there for quick access. lol that’s about it.

I’m a September bow and earlier rifle seasons Hunter.

I do feel cramped in my 5500 on a 7+ day hunt though.

The k2 has the “wings”, but in a non stretch open top form, which I like. I store my tripod and spotter there for quick access. lol that’s about it.

On the K2 those are just top access side pockets that are integrated with the main bag, the S2H bag has actual wings. Aside from pine needles and brush debris falling in, I liked the side pockets on the K2. Don't have enough hunting use on my K4 yet to tell if the zippered stretchy style will be annoying, or awesome.

This looks like a badass bag. I don't do enough late season backpack hunting to justify changing from a 5k yet, but I'm interested to see how it develops and hearing feedback.

I'm pretty sure they did a horn hauler that had the wings for the k2, but I don't think it was a standard bag.

The Horn Hauler was more of a stand- alone type setup. That was a shed hunting setup pretty much. I was kinda surprised they didn't do anything with those on the K3 series.
