The Teratorn: A Shoot2Hunt X EXO Bag Collab

Have gotten a bunch of questions about how the pack compresses.

Empty pack, wings full and cinched down, you can see a bit of movement. Then in day hunt/or scout mode with the straps wrapped. It is very tight-

Empty pack, Day hunt/scout mode with empty wings tucked between bag and frame. You can also have a full pack and tuck the wings as well-

First video was great, very helpful understanding the goal with the pack design. Mark told me that they were working on a similar video with the standard k4 bags that I look forward to watching.

Can we get a shoot to hunt k4 day pack? I am picturing a k4 2200 with bigger water bottle pockets. Actually can we just get a k4 2200 with bigger water bottle pockets? @Mark at EXO

I will keep up these guerrilla tactics until I get real pockets on my 2200. :ROFLMAO:

Went for a few laps and thought I’d take some pics and video to show it a bit better.

This is packed for 5 full days and nights- tent, sleep system, Winnerwell full stove, food, puff suit, tripod annd 15x binos, Jet boil, water bottles, etc, etc.

Using the trekking poles cradle to support the pack for glassing is brilliant, and I feel like an idiot for not thinking of that on my own. This is why I'm a member here 😆

Right? Earlier today I was talking about buying one of those mountain smith chairs that basically do the same thing, how did I never think to just do that with my pack?

What works really well is to use the slot interface that takes the Nalgene holders that's integrated into the shoulder strap for the Kifaru lower. That seems to be the ideal location for hanging 10 or so lbs.

The way I did it takes some extra webbing and a 3 bar slider. Works like a charm.

The little trekking pole loops are something they need to integrate into all their bags.
Got a photo of what you are describing?

How is a rifle designed to be carried on it? Under the wing to the side or flat on the back?

When Form and I developed this pack, I was surprised at how closely our ideas aligned regarding what a cold-weather bag should have. The only point of contention was the sleeping bag compartment; I'm still undecided about this feature; the Gen 1 bag I tested last season didn’t include a zippered compartment. I am, however, warming up to the idea. My favorite bag has always been the Kifaru EMR2, which shares features similar to Teratorn's. However, the Teratorn is more user-friendly and has fewer straps. With the legendary K4 frame and the best lid in the hunting backpack market, this is an excellent choice for a cold-weather or extended trip backpack.
