It’s only contentious because people think they need to know who someone is and what they do. Whether someone is a schoolteacher, a construction laborer, or a spec ops warrior, it doesn’t change the facts. If stuff is only true because of who someone is, then it’s not true at all. When testing Form’s advice, it pretty much always comes out exactly like he said it would. Works for me.

It's called confirmation bias. You will only allow yourself to be fed knowledge by someone who is assumed more knowledgeable about the "thing" than you are and if you can not confirm that person has more knowledge than you, in general you will ignore that information until it is said by someone you accept to have more knowledge than you do.

I don't care who Form is, the data is solid and repeatable.

Sure, I’m curious who Form is and what he does, but I don’t really need to know that. You say knowing more about him wouldn’t change things, so then why do you need to know who he is? What would “basic info” do for you besides possibly satisfy a little curiosity?

It reminds me of how my leftist in-laws make political decisions. Instead of listening and understanding what someone says, they want to fit the person into some sort of category. Then they either worship or disregard the person based on that. They completely avoid ever having to deal with the facts that were presented because they can label the speaker.

Likewise, when you read thousands of first hand accounts with photographic evidence that shows irrefutably that small caliber, heavy, tipped match bullets are effective, what possible difference does it make what Form does for a living?

Glad you asked. If you are someone who doesn't like what the mountain of data clearly shows, and you can't figure out a way to dispute it effectively, then you simply side step the facts and try to discredit the messenger instead.

"Hey, look how the .223 bulldozed the moose on Rokslide,"

I don't need to know him but maybe I want to? What he does sounds pretty fun. Killing animals, cull hunts, shooting guns all day, hunting all fall. Maybe his line of work has some openings and I want a career change? What job offers that? I don't know but he does. Maybe it's a possibility but maybe it's not?
The point is, some basic info isn't gonna hurt. And asking about it doesn't hurt either.

Easiest way to get in on depredation/cull hunts is to make friends with farmers in the southeast, especially in cwd areas where it is easy to get permits. You won’t get paid for it but you can shoot as many whitetails as allowed.

Funny you mention that. Seems retarded that if I spend money, I can see his face and hear his real voice but it's hidden on the podcasts.

But yet reading comprehension isn't one of your strong suits. When people ask about him, they aren't asking to change the facts it's just a curiosity on what he does and how he's been able to accomplish his data set. Not one person that has ever asked about him thinks knowing some basic info is going to change his data.

What will change if you know the name on his birth certificate, what he looks like, or where he works? Your "curiosity" borders on having God complex disorder. If the only way you can accept the data is to know him then it is obvious you haven't tested the data not tried to draw your own conclusions from your own tested data. You should shoot more and do better.

Here's some leads: in an old post here (as well as on another forum), he posted a photo that showed a work context. And in another forum, he mentioned a previous role that will very likely peak your interest.

My estimate is that it would take about 5 hours of diligent hunting, unless you're lucky. Now: is it worth that much to you?
