"The Season"

Bear season ended with an unpunched tag, which honestly doesn't hurt my feelings. Although I love bear meat, we have the freezers full already. No complaints here on a great season so far.

I just got back and into the swing of life again after completing my second Ironman in 8 weeks. Louisville was awesome, and I plan to be back next year. I'll post a report in the coming days to my Facebook athlete page. I also post hunt updates there.

Hunter is shooting his bow a lot. This week-end we will get camera's out in some perennial rut areas, and start doing some of our pre-rut scouting. Also plan to get some Fisher traps set at 4a.m tomorrow. Will get pics up.

Congrats on Louisville, Les! I had some friend do that one as well.

I hunted elk for 14 days this year and all from a backpack camp. I also have run a few races. Yes elk season keeps you in shape but an ironman tri is something on a different level. That is all.

No, after Ironman Boulder I didn't do anything other than elk hunt. I needed to let my body recover as I was in pretty rough shape. Thanks guys.

Nothing in the Fisher traps yet. Got some stands hung yesterday and 5 game cameras put out. Spent two hours tearing up the single track on the Fatbike. What a great workout and fun to be out in the woods this time of the year!
