Colorado Elk 2nd Season

Son and Dad drew unit 100-34=??? I know people can get a little angry about posting units and spots. Anyways anyone who has hunted 2nd season and has any starting points to look at it would be helpful. My son and I will be out there for a week at the end of July to get a lay of the land. I know its steep and big and the elk will be up high depending on the snow level. We have all hunted elk and have been successful before so I am not to worried about it. Just needs some starting points. Thinking about focusing most of our time Northwest-Southwest of lake city.

Also, don't shoot a moose.

Take the first left past the pond in Lake City and follow it about 2 miles past the big aspen grove and you will be rewarded.

It is what it is. Maybe someone can help me out and point me in the right direction. If not no biggie. I will call the bio for the unit and making a trip in July. We will have it figured out either way.

Rewarded with the starting point for the next part of your journey that is...

From there travel 3214-3195÷2 miles in the same direction that the Arkansas River flows through Kansas. Then make a sundial. When the shadow reaches the number that is the same as the amount of championships Michael Jordan won, start walking in that direction for 12-10x4 kilometers. Once there find the nearest high point that is 3,000 ft less than half the height of Mt Everest. Climb it and you are probably there.

I will start working on the sundial ASAP. I will have to go back and look up who that Jordan guy is. Thinking he was a famous White Socks baseball player in the 90's.
Will bust out the math review and figure out how to put Kilometers to Miles.

Come on man get the details right..... its 3000ft less than half the height of Everest. Its June you need to get the fine details dialed if you want to find this honey hole.
