I have never played with IPOs and really dont pay much attention to them. The few that I have watched, they always seem to run at the beginning and then crash. Even going back to my college investment classes, the professors told us to be careful with IPOs because that is common. The little I have watched, that advice has held true.

Its pretty wild they are going to expedite it into the NASDAQ 100 in 15 days. If it is a pump and dump, its going to happen across quite a few 401ks as a result. Sure are a lot of indications of a potential scheme.

I'm in BTC @ 12k, still gotta go down ALOT for me to bail. It'll bounce back, may be months, but it'll be over $150k for those that can hold.

I don’t think we’ll see $150k until late 2027…at best.

I own about a tenth of a coin. I told myself that I will sell it when its worth enough to cover any and all taxes, fees and the rest of my mortgage. That could be when I have 200 payments left or 1.

I bought the ETF's in 2025. If it takes until late 2027 to get to 150k then that will only be an 11% annual return for my almost 3yr BTC buy.

If the market crashes like some predict, and Bitcoin goes up like some predict, then 11% average annual return from 25 to 27 might look pretty good.
Comparing to the rear view mirror it looks pretty bland though.

When we are in a market where valuations don't matter....these do OK. When investors come to their senses and look at valuations, hold on to your shorts. Expediting into the index is a political throw him a bone move- man I hate that shit. I suppose an argument can be made to have the largest space company in the index but a money loser right off the bat?

I'm going to put this here. It's an interview of Jensen Huang, NVDA on where AI is going. It's long but you can skim. Of course he is going to promote his company but -Spoiler alert- AI will drastically change our economy like nothing else in history.

EDIT-I think he is probably right. Folks are questioning the massive Cap Ex spending on this- rightly so- but if AI changes our world like so many envision it makes sense.

Thats S&P 500.
NASDAQ 100 is a similar concern as are the other indexes that are positioned to let it happen.

Thankfully, (and shockingly) SpaceX was apparently just blocked from premature index fund entry.

I personally think the whole index fund inclusion timing fear is overblown. At it's current valuation it would become ~2% of the S&P, at half it's valuation it would be ~1%, and at double its valuation it would be ~4%. So if the fear is SpaceX tanks after inclusion.... who's to say it won't tank a year from now? What if it doubles in a year, get's included at a higher percentage weight of the fund, then tanks?

And how much is it really going to tank? Enough to affect the entire S&P 1%, 2%? That's your typical Friday (today included) at this point for the S&P. Who's to say it's not the next nvidia?

The whole point of an ETF is that one single stock can't tank your entire portfolio, and that's exactly what the news reports make it seem like is going to happen.
