The Rokslide Stock Traders Thread

It doubled since April. Why have you been holding out on us? Grin
It's one of those stocks I've owned since Sept '25. It actually went down 15ish % for a few months and then went sideways. Recently with NVDA backing, it has started to pop again. I missed the first run up early '25.

Another one on my watch list that just popped and I missed it, is ONDS. 🫤. Choppy ride that i didn't have the courage to enter.

I doubt this will surprise anyone who has been watching these markets but it's always interesting to me to see it in a chart. This is the Relative strength Index, courtesy of CFRA. 30 is generally considered oversold, 70 is considered over bought. Historically the Nasdaq 100 is approaching nose bleed territory. A dip in Tech would be a good thing, healthy, IMO.

I think it's worth keeping in mind that the S&P has a lot of pressure to trade at a higher RSI since its in just about every retirement portfolio now.

You can thank me for MSFT 4% jump as I finally got tired of watching it trade sideways and fade.🤬
Or maybe....it was the news that Bill Ackman piled into MSFT recently? Grin

On a separate note, I had no idea there is an ETF for EVERYTHING. Did you know that there have been about 100 new ETF's since the end of April?

If you want to go 2x on Sandisk- as if it's not volatile enough. Crazy,

The list is HERE

Yesterday was one of my worst days in a while. Almost 2% loss. Might be approaching "Don't look at your accounts daily" territory. MSFT was really my only bright spot and it wasn't that bright. 😆

The 2x etfs are a new level of gambling. Maybe I should allocate 10k to them for "science."

Haha and this is so true. So much more fun to check your portfolio's performance when there is a "+" sign involved.

My friend, and former coworker, text each her everyday the market is open with how our portfolio did that day. If one of us "sweeps" the other, meaning winning the five consecutive days in a week, then the loser has to buy lunch. I swept him this week. :D🤑

A sweep doesn't happen often but when it does, it's ball bustin' time for few days. We've been doing this for at least 7-8 years and continued it via text since he still works and I'm retired.

It's just a lot of fun and I'm up a couple lunches at this point.

I moved 90% back into cash today. Re: RSI, PPI, CPI, ATH's, Iran war, fuel, blah, blah, blah...i would be good with a correction about now.
I'm still substantially in cash (G Fund/SGOV) too. I have some equity exposure, but only about 40%. Be fearful when others are greedy.

I have bought a few things; LOW, SLV, NFLX and still in SCHD and BRKB and 75% in cash. I have been watching a few videos on YT that show NVDA usually tanks on earnings and since it is 8% of the S&P will bring it down with it. Now that I've said that, it will go the other way LOL. I was looking at CCL earlier this week and it popped up today on Trump talk about the war ending.

What are everyone's favorite etfs? Not ones you like, ones you are actively in and has done well for you?
My 3 that I'm in my personal investment accounts are: VOO, SPY and SOXX. SOXX has crushed over the last year or so, but thats to be expected with the tech boom. Higher expense ratio @ .34, but it's made up for it.

I'm looking for some different funds to research tomorrow.

VOO and VGT for me. VOO being my largest holding.
