The Rokslide Stock Traders Thread

I dont day trade in this market because it does not work using all of the analysis and techniques used in previous markets. And I used to day trade 20 years ago. Oh and Ill admit I could be wrong

As mentioned in a typical long running hot bull market like from the beginning of April 2020 until Feb 21 you could could literally randomly pick any stock and win big and justify it with a chart. Not being snarky but would be very open minded to the traders' advice picking winners consistently since March 21( over 60 per cent) the past month. I just dont want to see the newer traders come here and lose hard earned money on speculation and this market is running on pure speculation like a casino and I fully acknowledge that.

I'll keep posting my mistakes to try and help others and look forward to other more experienced traders advice on here.

You definitely don't want to take my advice on the market. Horses, hounds and hunting I know a little. Stocks not so much lol. I made 120% in a week and I'm happy with that, looks like it kept on going and I hope you own some.

Nothing about the market lines up right now with how it should work. P/E, Averages, none of it seems to matter.

I day traded Mara because I had dumped into it last week as it was fairly stable with a crypto backer. After watching it rise over days and seemingly run yesterday I knew it would be a short lived thing. Jumped into the option contract knowing I was likely going to sell it before close. As close neared it was gaining fast, I was up 30% and it looked to be that it was really going to go. Knowing how I have held in situations like that prior and gotten burned, that theta was through the roof due to being a short weekly I bit my lip and closed it at the daily peak. It dropped last night below where it closed but might go up again.

Moves I thought were solid blew up in my face day after day after day for the last few weeks. At best you can buy something and hope it will pay over longer terms. Even swing trading isnt going great.

Moments ago we tested the SPY ATH. I think there's a fair chance we'll see a final push tomorrow. It's getting close to top out again so we're close. Volume is waning and other factors stacking up. Could always see a down day before the final push. Let's see how we close out the day. Market is closed Friday, could have a bearing on things.

Majors synced up a bit today.

Watch the Russell, it's out of the bottom and turning up. It's likely to make more of a push.

Had to grab a few more ZNOG at $.58. Missed the lowest point of the sale but still a decent price!

Its a higher risk, all counting on them striking oil but so far the news is promising or at least on track for the most part.

Ya, was hoping it would rise steady ahead of the news. But its one where I won't sell till they hit oil or ill loss everything if they announce they are shutting down. There isn't much middle ground for me... lol. They are also pretty much funding everything with sale of stock, no real fundamentals to fall back on.

Definetly one where you gotta play with money you can afford to lose.

Added some today at .967. Debt is resolved 'til '23 -- only real issue I see, other than OPEC pulling something unexpected and/or a flaming covid lockdown.

I hear ya, I'm also actually in with a small position, but with O&G right now anything can happen.

Any of yall playing with silver stocks? Picked up some EXK this week on the dips. Heard a lot of speculation that silver could go off soon, which makes some degree of sense in light of its applications in the tech industry as well as its spot value
