GameStop stock soars 60% in apparent short squeeze​

GameStop Corp. (GME) shares soared Wednesday more than a week after short interest on the videogame retailer's stock exceeded the number of outstanding shares. GameStop shares surged 58% to $31.24 at last check, having reached an intraday high of $38.65. Short interest on GameStop rose to 71.2 million shares on Dec. 31 from a previous 68.1 million shares, according to FactSet data. GameStop has 69.8 million shares outstanding. On Monday, GameStop shares finished up 10% after it reached an agreement with activist investor RC Ventures to add three of its members to the board, and advanced less than 0.1% on Tuesday.

Yep, was up almost 400% on that drop right at $4k profit, SEC actually halted trading. It's slowly coming back up.

This all has me rethinking the long-term game with these penny stocks. Can see some of them going on to big things, but the MM's and RHer's are a real pita for that goal.

I'll be setting more sell orders and saying screw the long term, it just isn't worth all the game playing.
Gonna sell the penny stocks that hit the $3k profit mark going forward, I'll worry about re-investing later.

Anyone doing TLSS? Seems to be doing a big hype run, I keep seeing it mentioned on Reddit penny stocks. I thought about it but just couldn't pull the trigger. I did some DD and their balance sheet is absolute garbage. Seems to me a lot of pennies break out just on hype alone, people buying that have absolutely no clue how valuation works.

I am in but taking profits just in case. I am always tempted to hold long on penny stocks but it's turning out that taking profits is probably better.

Yep. That one dropped quick in spite of opening higher this morning. Managed to get it sold at $1.82 before it fell off the cliff. Squeaked out 33% on it. Maybe buy it again if it drops far enough.

You wanna trade options now or take a month long course before you can think about it? Sure I have stuff in Etrade and Vanguard and TRowe but all my playing is now in robinhood. I liquidated my coinbase crypto because id rather manage everything in one place. I sure as hell dont plan on packing around a hardware wallet. Thats where this technology is so young, its not easy for the masses to use it. The erethreum blockchain is gonna be massive some day. The only question is how long are you gonna wait to own it.

So this is another bottom bounce play like FUBO, this guy called buying FUBO in the 23’s, so hopefully he’s close on this one as well. Watching that 52-57 dip areas for possible entry. I’ll be looking for a dip tomorrow

I feel like QS is still pretty hot. Won't have a product or profit for years. Could see a bigger dip as holders loose patience/interest. I'm looking for a re-entry point <$47.
