Fed comes out today and says they are raising rates. Oil is at $110 a barrel, the largest European invasion since WWII. Inflation the highest in 40 years. Yet we see a 600 point Dow increase today. What kind of madness is this?! 😂
My wifes aunt posted a bunch of stuff on Instagram the other day about how the war in Russia/Ukraine was a ploy so China and Russia could dump all their USD and flood the market, driving the USD down, making it worthless and spinning the US into a depression. It was like 5 stories and the very next story was about how some furniture store just dropped a new line of barstools and everyone should go buy them. It makes zero sense and leads me to believe that when the day of reckoning comes, its not going to be pretty.

Looks like a slightly bearish Inverted Hammer (potential reversal signal) today. Rock bottom RSI. It's in uncharted territory down here. It'll need bullish confirmation. We'll have to see what tomorrow brings.

I got in too early too. If it drops into the 6’s I’ll double down and buy more. It may end up being a long hold, but I don’t see how it won’t rebound.

Been a long time since I was green on my Helix.
Yep, I'm still not there. Last Summer this missed my sell order by a penny or two at around 6.65 or thereabouts. Un-taken profit was around 8K.
Back down to the high $2's she went and down grrrr.....about the same 8K in the red. Aggravation.
Will hold, she's slowly working back to even.

BORR took a nice jump today.
Sold some BORR today to free up some cash, one of the rare cases where a R/S made all of the (positive) difference.
Flippin' shorts were systematically killing this stock by keeping it from compliance--it came down to literally one day and one cent,--they came up short for compliance and the R/S had to happen. One of many reasons that I loathe naked shorts. CDEL, NITE etc...

Yea, it was a little rough there for a bit. I don't play with the amounts that most of you do but I have a significant portion in BORR. It was a little rough to look at everyday.

You got patience like none other.....and it's worked out really good for you. I chickened out and sold GTE when it hit a buck....

Thanks Danny, but the old saying 'fake it 'til you make it' may apply.
There were some long, tough nights holding CDEV and GTE over the last two years. Many of you guys know exactly how that felt.

Right now things are shaping up to be monumental...... #blessed.

I haven't contributed here, but follow along regularly.

I've been holding CDEV for quite awhile. Also dumped a bunch of money into PSX, CVX, and XOM over the last year - mostly right around Thanksgiving when they crashed for half a day. Currently up close to 40% on these.

Trying to figure out what the play is with this RSX........

I think it depends on how many of the RSX components get delisted. Could be a liquidity crunch.

Yeah, what are you all seeing with RSX? The technicals look really bad. I don't see this one recovering for a while. Intraday price action trades, maybe but I'd hold off if you are a swing trader.

It was an interesting day. Bought a few more shares of RSX. Still a small investment compared to total portfolio, but I’ll hold it long. If it drops another 30 percent I’ll buy again.

Gte was brutal today. With oil where it’s at, I’ll keep on holding. Broom, what’s your target for GTE? If debts get paid off/down can we see 4’s out of it?

Sure, with debt paid down and Brent selling at $90-120, the $4's are very possible within a year +.
Columbia itself presents it's own issues-politics greenies, etc-- so watching closely is important.
Personally wouldn't mind seeing the $2's for an exit, I'm not a young buck like some of you guys and want to enjoy some gains while I'm in my 50's.

Today was a good day for GTE. Consolidation is very healthy. MM's are always going to fark with stuff, but *some* retrace is good. Some, grin.
