Gonna day trade crypto to scratch my itch. Made 33% yesterday, my new game when markets are closed. Don't care about it for long term investment

I have been thinking about buying crypto. The 24 hour trading actually makes me nervous. Who knows what may happen when you are sleeping and not watching it.

Just sitting here waiting for news on CCIV... ugh... the wait is the hardest part.

If no news, the cycle will be pretty predictable. A pretty heavy dip the first morning, small recovery by the close. And dips every morning with a recovery by the close.

I wouldn’t let that stop you from buying in. Stocks move from 4am to 8pm and obviously you can’t keep an eye on things 100% of the time. Keep your positions within your risk tolerance and you’ll sleep like a baby.

IMO its still very early in the crypto side of things. (Not saying now is the time to go hog wild into it either)

I just lived it. Gas meters are spinning so quick you can here then 20-30 feet away. Without power since 1am. Temps below freezing. Zero cell signal. Essentially a regional blackout. This never happens in the Permian Basin of West Texas. Well.....it just did. Woke up to a house with temps inside around 50, 4 kids and two dogs complaining they are feezing. Me, I am just worried about the three freezers and fridges full of meat/food. Helps to have friends who own stores that sale generators and do you a solid opening it up just for you. And a dang good thing I don’t have an electric car, but rather a diesel guzzling super duty to get me to and fro. No way the market would have gotten any of my attention today. Of course, the power just came back on an hour ago so I’ll go undo what I just spent all day doing. But next time....... I’ll be ready.

Natural gas should have a great run tomorrow. Best friends Brother in Law works at a gas plant for Chevron in LA. They shut it and another gas plant down due to weather. Shutting down a game plant is a BIG deal as it’s very costly to get it back up and running (so I am told). With this record breaking cold front plowing through the entire US, demand is at an all time high in many places and the supply has diminished. Will be interesting to see the effects of this.

Not selling a single share.
A dime would be $150K.... 68 cents would be a cool million.

Anyone wanting a good mid-long ETF, look at VWO. Its a Vanguard ETF, emerging markets. Its been a good, consistent steady gainer for us.

I'm still holding. My plan is to at least hold until the ticker change (or the announcement of it) then reevaluate my position. I did already sell 1/4 of my position and recouped my initial entry cost so I'm riding on free shares though.
