I’d be really interested in your experience with a RA as a working rifle.Well the issue this year was I kept swapping the scope around. First, a 1-4 Trijicon while I was guiding. Then I went back to a Trijicon 2.5-10 when I had a late season moose hunt. I'm thinking this year I'll run the Ruger American as a "moose gun" with a solid scope on it (probably a Trijicon 3-9 to be light) and keep the M77II as a guiding gun. I like the backup iron sites and 5 round mag in case I get into a fight with a bear.
I’m aware.Yep Grice Guns did a limited run of .358 rifles a few times.

Same here. Broken trigger guard. The aftermarket aluminum replacements are much betterBroke a trigger guard on mine.
I'd grab a m77 over an american too
What aftermarket one did you use?Same here. Broken trigger guard. The aftermarket aluminum replacements are much better
Now that I’m thinking about it, that rifle went into a Boyd’s stock. I believe I used the the guard they sell or one from DIP.What aftermarket one did you use?
Did you adapt it to the factory stock?
I’ve got a factory RA 6.5CM and a 223 predator in factory form that shoot lights out with box ammo. My wife’s 308 is extremely partial to SMK 165. I’ve even grown fond of the zipper sounding action!
Which rifle was it?I never fixed mine. Was all the reason I needed to retire that turd of a rifle![]()
