The REAPER from Unknown Suppressors

Not to derail you guys too much. Curious if anyone has their hands on their reaper yet and what suppressor cover may fit it. I impulse bought a Nomad TIXC, now I have a reaper in process so hoping to snag two covers this weekend with the holiday discounts.

It will mostly be used on the range for mirage but wouldn’t mind one that could handle light NrL hunter.

Doesn’t US/UM sell a cover for it?

I have Coletac covers on all my suppressors, except for the OG, which has a LSWild cover. I prefer the LSWild cover to the Coletac ones.

Give the supressor dimensions to LS WILD, they make a great cover for what 90% of us do. Yes there are limits, it's not full auto rated, and will degrade with extreme use. But I've used the LD wild in a few prs matches with 12 rounds sub 2 minutes and it's held up and performed well enough.

I don’t think they do. All I have ever seen is there little neoprene muzzle condoms.

I’m have a Cole tac on my rimfire can but I’m not in love with it. It protects me from the can when it heats up but it slips and slides all over.

I was eyeballing the LS one just concerned it wouldn’t handle NRL Hunter in July. Maybe it would just saw the few that got melty.

I have multiple guns that have shot more in a single morning practice day than any NRL hunter full weekend.

The LS Wild covers that I have on those guns have held up for countless of those morning so far.

I just shot out another 22 creed barrel unfortunately and the can it shot with (polonium K) wore a LS Wild cover for its short life of just over 1,200 rounds (lowest round count on a 22 creed barrel for me so far). The cover slid right off the suppressor with minimal degradation which was pretty shocking actually. That thing had been shot to incredibly hot temps. I dumped nearly 3 ounces of carbon out of the suppressor and off the barrel crown and it still weighs 1.5 ounces more than factory weight on the scale.

Maybe mine have been lucky so far though, I don’t know.

unless you dump a mag at a bonus target on an nrl stage in addition to the main 4 targets, NRL is not going to generate much heat. My cans typically get hotter on run of the mill range days than they ever have on an NRL stage.

The LS Wild covers seem like a nice option but I dont have one yet. Can Chaps makes pretty neat covers custom to a can spec but they aren't as light.

This I put 70 rds(6cm) down range in 3 hours and no issues… that’s with a starting outside temp of 95.

Not sure how many rounds I have on three different L&S covers but one is over a 1000 this year

Ugh, I cannot decide on the Reaper or the OG or a hunting can.
I like the OG handling, I like that the Reaper seems quite a bit quieter.

The OG is the best hunting can on the market. Unless that AirLock one tests out objectively better in an unbiased test.

I have one complaint with the airlock. It looks like it is a completely enclosed can. Even on the mounting side. What happens if the threads manage to get screwed up? It doesn't look like you'd be able to take the mount off and put a new one on. This has never happened to me but I have seen it happen on someone else's can.

How do threads get screwed up?

In this case it seems like a purposeful design decision to minimize weight, machine time, and things to come loose, and I dig it.
