The Raven: Unknown Munitions Tikka Clone action coming soon?

On that note it shouldn’t be out of the question for them to offer 1.062” dia tenons down the road at some point for those that might want it. With the flat front face for the 1.200” shanks I’d think the larger tenon would be a good option for those that want it.

So does anybody see early pressure with large dia cartridges like the WSM’s in Tikka’s?
My tikka and savage pressure out with about same load and same specs with 7wsm.

Fair on your first point...but only if you view the Tikka as better than the R700. I'm not there and clearly you are so that's our agree to disagree spot. You say there would be a true long action...my comment would be a true short action and maybe they need both HAHA.

I know it's a Tikka and this is a better Tikka, but I've seen more than one factory Tikka split at the ejection port to be a huge fan. I've never seen a R700 split from over pressure, I've seen bolts come apart so maybe it's a pick your poison. As big of a Tikka fan you are, that's me with the R700 clones. I also am not a fan of the Tikka trigger...the TT likely solved this complaint but they are 1 of 1 out there. Who know where we're headed from a market support...things could get flipped?

Saying all of this...I bet I end up with a Raven and give it a try...curiosity killed the cat, per say.
My preferred rifles are Steyr with the SBS action. I own more steyr rifles than Tikka and R700 Combined. So I'm not a Tikka fan boy by any stretch. Steyr just lacks aftermarket support specifically stocks

Bix n Andy makes triggers for Tikka's. I have been using one for a couple years.

There are bolts out there currently that can get you building them.
Altered factory bolts, right? I’m interested these new manufactured bolt housings milled to the correct size for those cases. It will be an inexpensive way to do those builds. At any rate, I have two rifles I’m building at the moment…so I’m in no rush to jump on the aforementioned projects.

Two solutions on the market that add COAL. The UM setup allows 3.54”, and the Redsnake allows 3.50”
Yes but ideally on a 300WM for example with a 215Hybrid, ideal COAL is 3.600”+. I imagine it similar with other cartridges as well. You still won’t be able to run a 300PRC either.

I know big cartridges aren’t the thing on Rokslide but there’s still a big market for them out there, even on Rokslide.

Build those off of a Sako S20. It’s basically just a magnum length T3, with 3 position safety
