Found a used Pro Hunter today and bought it as S&W is no longer making TC products.

I will be slowly getting the rest of the parts and shamelessly copying.

@SLDMTN thanks for the inspiration.

Right on man! We need to get everyone together for a shoot at some point.

I like the stubby 308. Cute and deadly. Is there a reason that these encore frames are pretty much unobtainium? Not in stock anywhere.
S&W stopped manufacturing the TC line up and did not find a buyer for the brand. I finally found a used one with a muzzle loader barrel, but had been looking for quite a while.

Thought I was done with this build then I got to thinking….so First I added the Spartan bipod.
Then I loved the idea of how much smaller this would be and I could hide it completely protected in my pack if I added a folder-Yes at a little bit of a weight penalty, But I think I can finally say I’m done!

What's the folded length and how long is your barrel? Which folding adapter did you go with?

That is exactly what I have in mind, by the way! Looks great!

Has anyone built one of these in .243? I’ve done a lot of research on different options and keep coming back to this for my young girls. Great idea, thanks for sharing.

@tarheelpwr Same, I farted around until they quit making them and now they don't exist except used and even then it seems they are getting snapped up quick. Hopefully someone will buy the company and start production again.

Awesome! I did the same thing, but went with the Sig folding stock. (I think it's a bit lighter than others). But I still have a 24" factory barrel that I need to chop and probably thread. Is yours a 20"?
