Went to Academy to spend $20 and spent $600 on a (on sale) Winchester M70 CRF Featherweight in 270 Win.

Ugh! Just when I was getting out of the gun buying business.

Now I need a new scope.

Thinking about a Leupold fixed 4x.

My Stevens 200 in 270 wears a VX 3 2.5x8. Total package weighs 6.5#. 270 WILL reach out enough to take advantage of the zoom.

Heck yeah. That's a good deal on a real nice rifle. That'd be tough to pass up. I second the scope recommendation above.
