The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom

What is everyone reading, Biblically this time of year? I know there are a lot of genesis starts but just curious to see where yall are at!
Amos 5:14-15 (New American Standard Bible 1995)

Seek good and not evil, that you may live; And thus may the Lord God of hosts be with you, Just as you have said! Hate evil, love good, And establish justice in the gate! Perhaps the Lord God of hosts May be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.
Currently in Ephesians, I took the fam up to the Ark and Creation Museum before Christmas so I did have a short Genesis re-read before the new year.

I usually read through the Bible the chapters at a time as well as a psalm or proverb. I’m currently in Judges, I think when I finish this time through I’m gonna go through the books backwards next.

Psalm 34:11-14

11Come, you children, listen to me;
I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
12Who is the person who desires life
And loves length of days, that he may see good?
13Keep your tongue from evil
And your lips from speaking deceit.
14Turn from evil and do good;
Seek peace and pursue it.

Since I drive an hour everyday to and from home and work I listen to Verse by Verse ministries. I have done a couple of different ones now but I am currently going trough Genesis. Going back from the New Testament to the Old Testament has really helped my understanding a lot.

“And the disciples came and said to Him, “Why do You speak to them in parables?” He answered and said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says: ‘Hearing you will hear and shall not understand, And seeing you will see and not perceive; For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them.’ But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear; for assuredly, I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13‬:‭10‬-‭17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Man if these verse’s don’t open your eyes. I always wondered why the message is so clear to me and so cloudy to others but here it is. God has blessed us who understand.
