The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom

Amen brother. How amazing that a man is able to participate and understand the deep things of God via his spirit and his sacrifice to go through what he did. I get the Sunday scaries with worry about my job but imagine living every day and knowing whats coming and no way out of it, but because of his purity and love for his workmanship, not ever wavering. Goodness gracious.

He did ask for the cup to pass, but sat in and in his heart never resented.
I just keep thinking. At 9am the world was shattered and then at 09:00:01 we were redeemed. It was over. No more sacrifices. No more shame and condemnation and guilt. No more lifelong fear of hellfire. At any moment you can call upon the Holy Spirit inside of you and instantly be connected to the Almighty. The one true God and He is always waiting to be with you! Imagine the rejoicing in the heavens when Christ defeated sin and death. It brings me to tears even thinking about it, the Lamb who was crowned with thorns now crowned in glory.

“Then he said, “When I was with you before, I told you that everything written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and in the Psalms must be fulfilled.” Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures. And he said, “Yes, it was written long ago that the Messiah would suffer and die and rise from the dead on the third day. It was also written that this message would be proclaimed in the authority of his name to all the nations, beginning in Jerusalem: ‘There is forgiveness of sins for all who repent.’”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭24‬:‭44‬-‭47‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.””
‭‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬-‭21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them. When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted. And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28‬:‭16‬-‭20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The power of Christ lives in those who belong to Him. He has ALL authority over ALL things.

Now here becomes the real battle. Do not love the world or anything in it. Anyone who loves the world the love of the father is not in him. Do not be conformed to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. No man that continues to sin has any part of inheritance. I never knew you.

Some really opposite words and spiritual guidance than any church or pastor usually lays out. That's why we are to seek out our own salvation with fear and trembling.

This is why there is fear of God, not man. Yes it seems weird to be in subjection to power that's not seen. I know who he is and he knows me. The natural man understands not the things of God. Woof lol 😆 😂 🤣

Also if you don't truly fear God then you must not understand who He is and what true power He holds. This is the Creator of everything, He holds the world in His hands. He has the power to make us stop breathing, He has the power to wipe out the entire population and He would be just in doing so because of who He is. We all have sinned, we all are condemned to death by our sin.
Who are we the created to question He who created?

I hope everyone is having a great Sunday.

Today’s Gospel is from the book of John:

Jesus said to his disciples:
"Do not let your hearts be troubled.
You have faith in God; have faith also in me.
In my Father's house there are many dwelling places.
If there were not,
would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?
And if I go and prepare a place for you,
I will come back again and take you to myself,
so that where I am you also may be.
Where I am going you know the way."
Thomas said to him,
"Master, we do not know where you are going;
how can we know the way?"
Jesus said to him, I am the way and the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me.
If you know me, then you will also know my Father.
From now on you do know him and have seen him."
Philip said to him,
"Master, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us."
Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you for so long a time
and you still do not know me, Philip?
Whoever has seen me has seen the Father.
How can you say, 'Show us the Father'?
Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me?
The words that I speak to you I do not speak on my own.
The Father who dwells in me is doing his works.
Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me,
or else, believe because of the works themselves.
Amen, amen, I say to you,
whoever believes in me will do the works that I do,
and will do greater ones than these,
because I am going to the Father."

Have a great week fellas-Do not let your hearts be troubled!

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬

Such a simple and easy reminder. God is good no matter how crazy and evil this world gets.

What does this proverb mean when it states to not lean on one’s own understanding? I’m not poking the bear, we’re talking Theology and I’m asking for clarification.

Is it a case of having faith in your God’s omnipotence? A “trust his plan” when times are arduous kind of situation?

In my understanding of that scripture that would indeed be the case. I think often we get lost in our own plans (Proverbs 19:21) and then need guidance and "rescuing" if you will. And I use the word rather loosely but I have often that found that to be the case in my life. And no worries about poking the bear brother, that is what we all do. It is our duty to seek out such matters and to be truthful, most of us are also searching for the meaning in Scripture.

And to add to my previous statement, not just in difficult times. In all times. Knowing He holds my future, my concerns and worries, the things that keep me up at night and the things that matter most to me.
