[Pony Soldier]

Two days ago, we reached our trail head and unloaded our horses for our day trip. My old mare didn't look right. She kept favoring her right rear leg. We started out and she was quickly walking sideways.

We went back home and traded her out for another. She is still favoring her leg and at 31 I'm guessing I will have to put her down in a week or so.

I have had to shoot about 8 so far but mainly for lack of teeth. It's always an unpleasant event with no alternatives.

I’m sorry that’s rough, I put down my Great Dane this year, never done it myself till now, but he was my wife and I’d boy, it sucked.
