The DIY Rampage Continues..Cool water bladder carrier

I picked up a 3L Camelbak Mil Spec Antidote water reservoir for $16 through an army surplus store on eBay. It's super light weight, strong and had great reviews.

I've been on a bit of a DIY rampage lately so I thought I'd build a carrier for it. I used hypalon material for the reinforcements around the filler cap and the hose outlet. I also sewed in a strip of fabric behind the zipper so it couldn't rub on the bladder causing it to wear a hole in it. After the front and back panels were complete I sewed them together and then covered the hem in grosgrain. Enjoy!

Thanks Pods!! Here's the link for the hypalon. The call it something different but that's what it is. Very reasonably priced too. Just FYI, I get my Hylander 500D here too. Very high quality stuff!

Nice project. Thanks for the heads up on the bladder. I snagged one. Ive been running a camelbak 3L long bladder for about 10 years and it has performed great. Just now starting to have some problems with it so I figured i'd upgrade before it burns me on a hunt.

I can't tell exactly how you have it attaching to the frame. I made a bladder carrier a year or two ago with the same two straps coming off the top with male SR buckles. I then put female SR repair buckles on the loops at the top of the frame. Straps are long enough that I can run it against frame or on the outside of a loaded pack. You are probably using a similar system but hard to tell.
