The All New MRC/S2H Marshall Rifle Now Available

Thanks for the review. I’m not in the dead cat camp. That serves no purpose on a stock that is built with the proper layup (McMillan) and oozes of poor craftsmanship. If I got a $4K rifle and it was a dead cat float job it would get sent back. Good on them for doing it correctly.
Ha! I literally am considering asking UM to widen the barrel channel while they have the stock. I’m not into it for aesthetics.

The action wasn’t “rough” or binding, but it certainly wasn’t smooth out of the box. I’ve racked it probably 150 times and it’s starting to feel much better. I’m told it’ll break in well so we’ll keep monitoring that. I will say the action feels very tactile — hard to describe, but it has a “feel” to it. It’s my first CRF, so that might be the case.
I know exactly what you are talking about. The MRC I shot at the school had like 20 rounds threw it IIRK and about 150ish by the time I was done. It is a very mechanical action and though was of zero hinderance, became very "smooth" by the end of me using it. Really loved the feel of it and how it shot..

If there's no contact I wouldn't mess with it either but from a component stock perspective I'd personally be happy if everything was a la manners LRH, grayboe, MDT CRBN, etc with an open channel for less SKUs, better availability, and zero concern that whatever tube you put in it next will fit.

Unless its classy and wood that is. All these soulless carbon, fiberglass, metal, and plastic furniture options can be tools.

@Imac45acp @Unknown Munitions Any kind of updates would be nice. The last one I got was over a month ago saying actions were being barreled. Rifle seasons are here. I don't know the breakdown of caliber orders, but so far we have seen a single 6mm in the wild, and it is currently on the way back. Is there an ETA on the remaining rifles? Will they all be shipped at once or are they leaving to FFLs in batches? There was a great amount of transparency in the original testing/abuse thread that I wish would be replicated here.

Any updates? Bueller? Anyone? I know I'm not the only one, but I'm 3 an half weeks away from a hunt I was really hoping to use this 6mm rifle on. If this is an unrealistic timeline, or even in the next two months, if there are more QC/mechanical issues, etc, at least let us know. Manage some expectations.
