I had to go to MRC site to see what they are calling “adaptive controlled round feed”. Turns out its just standard Ruger/Kimber/ect… style bolt where the extractor can jump the rim.
I dont know what actions they are talking about when they say most CRF actions cant single feed.

Considering the bases are integral, what exactly is being degreased and lock tited, recoil lug, trigger?

Looks like a nice rifle, but the MRC marketing seems a bit over the top.
Is UM required to use their marketing descriptions?

What is over the top about the “marketing”?

100 yards. That was from Ian at MRC- I didn’t shoot them.
112 yards to be exact. We cut a window out, and built a shoot room inside our warehouse but don't want to relocate the backstop for summer time. Sorry guys, I'm a pansy and don't like shooting outside in the cold 🤣
1k yard Benchrest target? 10 ring is outside ring, inside ring is X ring. Belive the 10 ring is 10" and X ring is 5". However this is just what was in the shot marker settings. It's all digital so you can use whatever target you want on the tablet.
Yup, Silver Mountain G2 (8 mic) system. I put multi-bullseye paper up for an aiming point, which isn't always centered with the targeting systems bullseye. Group size is the goal, so the correlation to bullseye isn't really relevent.
Does this have a pre64 style trigger or an enclosed trigger?
Trigger is a pre64 clone, but both trigger and sear are EDM cut from A2 tool steel and hardened.
Form have a genuine question, what happens if the rifle fails to meat the 1.5" or less 10 shot group with X ammo? Does it get rebarreled? Or do more 10 shot group go through it with Y or Z ammo until desired results are attained?
If the rifle fails, with known ammo, it will be reworked. We buy bulk direct from Hornady, so that's what's typically used. The 308 Form posted was Hornady Match 168ELDM, the 6.5 was UM's 147ELDM load, but the Hornady match ammo ran equally well (though slower). I'm changing the file naming scheme to make sure the load is shown on the printout. I'll also zoom consistently so the spread is visible like the 6.5 target posted above. We want complete transparency.

Are the 10 round groups being shot consecutively with no barrel cooling time?
2- 5 round mags back to back from a bench with bags and a front rest. Once I cast the RokStok clamps for our Ransom rest, I'll see how that fares to eliminate shooter induced errors. I'm not a bad shot, but bet most of y'all can outshoot me... Anything that assists in eliminating variables during testing is a good thing.

The first test batch I ran with the brake, bare barrel, and with a Banish Backcountry. The 1.5" accuracy has to be achieved as delivered (with brake), but I got the best accuracy with the can.

@Imac45acp

How are we looking on the extra prefit barrels?

Without a known price, ideally <$600, I wouldn’t buy a 22CM and it gives me pause on the 6CM. Yeah I know most prefits go for more, but some good ones don’t.

The 22CM I currently have is going to need to be rebarreled yearly at the current rate.

I’d like to see this rifle be the one that gets grabbed every range session, shooting course, daily predator control, and big game season. Having a spare barrel or two, especially ones tested on the action and sold as a part of the factory package would be next level.

I’d hate to see it live in a safe wanting to prevent barrel wear.

Curious what the current orders look like. Guessing 40% 6CM, plus or minus 15% each of the others.

First two rifles came in today. For now the questions or comments can be in here.

See this thread for updates on the rifles-

I think proclaiming “100-10X” on a target with an X-ring that big, shot at 112 yards, is a little over the top…

Do you understand how the system works? No one cares about the score or X count- they care about this:

Kinda interested actually, but curious. Will UM by chance ever have a rifle in their store to check out? And the 6CM are expected how early in the summer? Lol...

I very much understand what matters. However, what they have chosen to emphasize, with large bold font, is not the group size, but “”100-10X”.

They are not emphasizing anything. That’s how the system puts out the info. They aren’t zeroing the rifles- they’re shooting a group. The rifle isn’t guaranteed to shoot “100-10x”, it’s proofed at sub 1.5 MOA.

Interesting that is what you worry about- not the fact that a company is shooting every single rifle for a 10 round group and giving you the info; and running 101 function test rounds through the 2x included mags. Not everything is a conspiracy.
