Early 2026 was eluded to, I've heard rumors of a 107tmk 6mm......who knows if/when Sierra will come through!

Is anyone running the UM DBM and magazine with their Tikka? I’m having issues with feeding with mine. UM sent me a new magazine thinking that was it but it’s still happening. Tip of the bullet gets forced down into the magazine or between the magazine and feed ramp. I’m thinking the cartridge length is too short to function properly.

My 6PRC runs with a UM DBM in a Tikka if I run it fast. If I’m slow it tends to bind near the datum line while chambering. Not sure what is catching but it seems different than what you’re describing.

Yeah, he suggested using a prc magazine to me, I should have listened. Being my first build I wanted to do all the things.

Have we gotten any more terminal results from the NR DTAC on black bear? I drew a black bear and elk tag and would like to just run a single load for both rather than having to juggle two bullets.

What mag are you using 300 wsm or 300wm?

The hells canyon tikka mags might be worth a shot. However they are out of stock

I was using the factory 300wsm mag before the UM. The factory 300wsm is too short internally, but from what I was told a PRC mag will work, so probably just going to switch out for that.

I’ll cycle some arounds tonight to make sure before I say but I don’t recall having any issues with a 300 wm magazine.

The hells canyon tikka mags might be worth a shot. However they are out of stock

HCA magazines work, that's what I've been using. The length and shoulder stops are spot on. They might take a little tuning of the shims under the front action screw though.

Anyone using the um TIKKA bottom metal and mags? Made a dummy round for the smith and was playing around with the mag, when the cartridge is moved forward to “feed” the nose dives down and stops when it hits the mag box.. what am i missing/ doing wrong?

Yes, the PRC mags hold four rounds. A Tikka 300 WSM mag is not long enough for the 6UM. You must use 6.5 PRC magazines or LA Magnum magazines.

I have not.. i did put another cartridge in it and it fed ok but still wont feed a single/last cartridge

Go back to the factory mag setup.
