Thank you. Also looking at supressors. Local shop has a scythe and nomad dead air on hand. Any thoughts about them? Light is a higher priority than optimal sound reduction.
Take a look at otter creek lab and diligence defense suppressors. The DD enticer is a great suppressor, at a good price point!

Lots of info on the Scythe on the forum, think that thread is at 70+ pages. Some people having issues with the end blowing off or something like that. Not sure if the prevalence rate of those failures is concerning or not.

Dead Air has terrible C/S if you need a repair, lots of info on the internet about that too. Hope I never have an issue with mine.

TBAC ultra 5 is one of the lightest options out there but leaves a lot to be desired re: suppression. Check out how it compares to others in the silencer summit results.

The AB A-10 7.62 and OCL Polonium 30 are often recommended. Got my AB recently and haven’t had a chance to shoot it yet. The OCL is next on my list.

i haven't ordered my dies yet for my UM. sounds like i should wait on the ADG over whidden?
Did I miss something? I know ADG is using the 1.25” die body, but what’s the reason to move away from Whidden? (Other than I ordered my Whidden dies 6 months ago and still nothing) Faster delivery would definitely make me change over.

There is 1 40 degree Whidden die set in stock on UMs website right now.

Is whidden going to continue to make them? I know they stopped making "custom" dies, not sure if the 6 UM fits that classification or not.

I’ve had no problems with Whidden dies, I was just wondering if there was something awesome about the ADG dies other than they’re a double handful for Ryan’s tiny little mitts.

Got home this evening, opened up a package from Mr Ryan Avery to reveal a 6um 30° case as ADG shipped them. Used my 0.420 diameter whidden bump gauge, measures shoulder of the 6um case, VS my new unfired adg 65saum, both measure 1.585" to shoulder datum line. I went and chambered the 6um case into my 6.5 and 6 Saum, which are chambered to go gauge +002 thou(-002 protrusion from breech, 002 deeper than go) and bolt closed with zero resistance. So the 6um 30 brass appears usable in my particular 6saum barrel. I'll prime charge and re-test and make sure the new neck values with bullet seated do not interfere with my 6saum chamber. This is a plus........
