I’d like to see more results on deer sized game at closer ranges around 50-200 yards.
Time to bug hornady for a 115- 120 eldm
All they seemingly need to do is take that 109eldm and turn it into an eldx, right? While that would be neat
I think a 110 eld-x would be the perfect bullet for the magnum 6 s.

The 115 DTAC NR Deep cut is fantastic for all of the scenarios you are inquiring about. My personal experience with it is from point blank to 725 yards (2300 fps) and it has been extremely effective throughout that range. I have yet to see it at lower velocities but the results at 2300 gave me confidence to push it farther. Also interested in that.
If someone was going to use a 6UM as their main western hunting rifle would the 115 DTAC still be the bullet of choice or is that too much for an antelope at 150 yds, or a deer at 250? Would a different bullet make the 6UM "better" for a one gun type solution that included deer and antelope and some potentially shorter shots mixed in?
I've got a lot more rounds to shoot and practice before a 6UM becomes worthwhile to me, but if I got one I'd be using it as a "one gun" hunting rifle and shooting my .223 the rest of the time. For now I can't outshoot the terminal range of my 6.5CM, but this thread is interesting and has me thinking for down the road some day.

Not latelyLapua includes an extra case in every 100 round box.
They have in everything I've acquired in last 18 months. Maybe the bean counters are getting after the bottom line! Not lately

Well that's some crap! All my recent lapua brass has been in the blue snap top boxes. Which are nice usable containers. Is the new packaging even usable for anything other than containing the unloaded brass? Will it hold loaded rounds like the Alpha, Peterson and ADG packaging?New flat packages are segmented into 100 rd slots so sorted by count and not weight. The freebie days are over as new old stock is replaced with the flat packs

6.5They get lighter when you make a profile ELDx vs ELDm. More copper, less lead = lighter. I recall hearing that the 143 eldx was very similar profile to 147 ELDm, haven't measured em myself .
I cancelled my order for the Whidden dies for that reasoni haven't ordered my dies yet for my UM. sounds like i should wait on the ADG over whidden?
