There is something special about the necked down 6.5 SAUM case and the 115 Dtac NR. The 6UM is a killer!
The shot was 50 yards the PH told me to put it right at the bottom of the square. Unfortunately for giraffes they are born with targets on them. The bullet went between the ribs broke apart and took out the top of the heart and damaged quite a bit of the lungs. The bull was down within one minute of the shot. The PH said “that was not what I expected” and most Giraffes take one to three minutes to go down and more than half take multiple shots. These animal are beautiful and huge.

That a LOT of neck meat on that critter. I don't totally agree with shooting a giraffe, but good to see the 6mm is doing heavy work. What's up with the chainsaw in the one pic? Cutting up neck roasts?
Eh, it’s a non-endangered animal.I don't totally agree with shooting a giraffe
Impossible. The internet told me so.
Around 36” inside rib to ribThe biggest question I have is how many feet thick was the giraffes chest, and how much did it deflate after getting shot?
They are no different than any other animal here they have to be managed and it feeds lots of children here. That a LOT of neck meat on that critter. I don't totally agree with shooting a giraffe, but good to see the 6mm is doing heavy work.
I didn't agree, or disagree. Just something I wouldn't target over there. The bullet did it's job. Big ass animal! They are no different than any other animal here they have to be managed and it feeds lots of children here.
Any idea how much meat they get off the animal? They are no different than any other animal here they have to be managed and it feeds lots of children here.
How much penetration did you get?
